A Texas homecoming mum is a uniquely Texan tradition — a large corsage-like decoration worn to homecoming. Unlike traditional corsages, Texas mums are elaborate creations featuring silk chrysanthemum flowers, braided ribbons, lights, bells, charms, and personalized trinkets representing the student's school and activities. Girls typically wear them pinned to their clothing; boys wear a smaller version called a garter on their arm.

The number refers to how many silk chrysanthemum flowers are on the mum. A single mum has one flower and is great for freshmen or those who prefer a more modest style. A double mum has two flowers and is very popular for all grade levels. A triple mum has three flowers and makes a real statement — popular for juniors and seniors.

A garter is the male version of a mum. It's a smaller decoration worn on the upper arm. Garters typically feature the same school colors and ribbons as the accompanying mum, with a few charms and the student's name. Many couples order matching mum and garter sets.

Traditionally, underclassmen use their school colors, while seniors use white with gold or silver accents. That said, the rules are flexible — many students add personal color accents, blinged-out elements, or themed designs. Just let us know your school colors and any preferences and we'll guide you!

We recommend ordering at least 4–6 weeks before homecoming. Popular dates fill up quickly, especially September and October. The earlier the better — we accept orders starting in the summer for fall homecoming season.

Yes — a 50% deposit is required once your order is confirmed, to reserve your spot and purchase materials. We accept Cash, Venmo, and Zelle. The remaining balance is due at pickup.

All orders are available for local pickup in Weimar, TX. We'll coordinate a convenient pickup time with you, typically 1–2 days before your homecoming date to ensure freshness.
